If you want to do a skin-cancer screening, I 100% recommend Dr. Karavand. She has an extremely sharp eye and the goal is to hunt down the ugly duckling and take it. I first called Dr Howard Rubin’s office, because of a referral to him from a friend. The scheduler there, Kay, was extremely helpful finding a Dr in the system who could see me, even as a new patient, because of an urgent matter that day! She was kind, friendly, understanding of my need, and helpful looking to find any Dr with a spot to fit me in. She even said to call her back with any questions. My appointment was quick and easy. The office is beautiful – one side is medical and the other side is an esthetics section. My main concern was removing my acne scars, but Dr. Karavan quickly noticed I had eczema. I didn’t even know it. I thought it was just dry skin from the heat. She created a plan for me to get my skin healthier and then focus on acne scars later. I had gone to a med spa just one week prior for a facial and no one noticed my eczema. I highly recommend this office!
